You want to use potting soil that is peat-based and formulated for indoor plants. I alternate between Happy Frog and Ocean Forest. They’re high quality and have lots of good stuff in them.

Aglaonemas have a spathe-type flower. My Aglaonema Lady Valentine flowered this summer into early fall. The spathe is light green and the spadix (the center part) is white.
